What are Melt Bolt Style Sensors?

Melt bolt temperature sensors are designed for dependable temperature measurment in a variety of different rugged industrial settings. The majority of melt bolt sensors are designed for measurment of the plastic melt stream within plastic extruders and injection molding equiptment. Standard assemblys are supplied with mineral insulated elements for extended pressure and temperature performance. These heavy duty temperature sensors are typically made of 300 series stainless steel.
